Fish
TREA personnel have logged thousands of hours of quantitative and qualitative sampling for fishes in large rivers, small streams, lakes, reservoirs, and estuaries. We are well versed with all forms of passive gear types (e.g. trap nets, fyke nets, gill nets, hoop nets, etc.) and active gear types (e.g. boat electrofishing, backpack electrofishing, minnow seining, electric seining, trawling, etc.) for fish sampling.
We are experienced with biotelemetry, fish kill assessments and valuation, as well as snorkeling and scuba surveys. We possess the taxonomic expertise that enables us to identify fishes throughout the United States and have U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service certified boating, seamanship, and electrofishing crew leader training. We also have a wealth of experience working with threatened and endangered fishes at both the state and federal levels.
